I just had two KEF Ci130ER speakers fitted with a Sonos Amp to drive them and am very unimpressed with the sound quality and especially volume afterwards.
The Amp goes into fault mode if the maximum volume is set above 36% - both for voice or music. This volume is lower than the speaker on my iPhone.
I’ve tried all the usual troubleshooting of re-terminating all the cables and swapping them over but it just sounds muddy and quiet. Surely ~ £900 worth of kit should sound better.
The Ci130ERs are sold together with the Amp by some retailers so they must be compatible - although they are 80W speakers so I expected to have to limit the volume a little having 36% be the maximum for speech is just terrible.
Can anyone give any advice or other things I can check? The speakers are in my ceiling through a very small gap so it’s hard for me to get to them unfortunately but the Amp is easily accessible.
