A few weeks ago, I posted this thread. Now, I have my Roku and Blu-Ray player both going through this switch, which then pushes the audio to the Playbar.
This system works perfectly with the Roku, but using it with the Blu Ray player is a major pain. Depending what type of audio encoding the disc has, I have to mess with the settings on the Blu-Ray player to get the sound to work. And for some discs it just does really weird things, like only playing the surround channels and not the front at all. I tried one older movie in mono and couldn't get any sound at all.
Is there a setting I'm missing? Again, here's my player.
I'd be willing to get a new player, but I really want to be 100% sure it's going to work before I buy it. I found this thread on the Sonos forum, but all the recommendations people are making are $500 . :-/
What keyword should I be looking for in a blu-ray player? Or alternatively, can anyone recommend one under $200? Here are the two that my Costco currently has:
Thanks a lot.
