Currently just using TV speakers and want to finally get a decent sound bar, sub, and rears. A friend convinced me that Sonos is the way, and there’s plenty of older reviews that corroborate his claims, but then I jumped into this sub and started reading and have hit the pause button. From the posts I’ve read it sounds like Sonos have thrown their users under the bus in the interest of feeding their new cash cow, or because some product manager is more worried about his roadmap than his users. Either way, that’s kinda ick.
For those who are actually moving away from Sonos, what are you moving to that feels comparable?
To be transparent and probably piss a bunch of folks here off...
I never bought my Sonos system to stream and have multiple room setups.
I have a ARC, two subs, and two 300' and use it for my home theater setup in its own network not connected to the internet. And never updated the app and it works fine.
I get that most users bought their products for those features and want it to work as intended. As it should.
My only real gripe is lack of volume. I like to rock out and want my music LOUD.
So I will eventually go back to wired component system.
