Connect Amp
Post Body

My house came with a pair of Connect Amp Appears to be Gen 1. Both are in the living room on the first floor. I don't know anything about audio.

One amp is connected to ceiling mounted speakers in the master bedroom upstairs.

The other amp is connected to ceiling mounted speakers in the living room, the garage, and the upstairs hallway for some reason. They all play together which is really annoying.

The bedroom Amp stopped working. We hardly use it, but it won't connect to the network anymore. Resets dont do anything.

Questions: 1. Best to replace the bedroom Amp with a refurbished one? Need an amp that can connect to the speaker wires, right?

  1. For the other amp. Is there a way to control the different rooms separately? There is no control room or junction box so I'm assuming the builders just spliced the wires together somewhere in the ceiling so no easy way to see where they're connected. If I can find out where they're connected and run separate lines, how would I separate them for individual controls?
