Hey everyone -
I'm a rising junior in college, and I have ~$130 credit to amazon. I was looking to get the play:5 system (with the bridge) so my roommates and I could stream our music to the living room area if we have people over.
I have listened to both the Play:3 and Play:5 at my local best buy, but nowhere that lets me try out my own music.
I dont know anyone that owns a sonos, and nobody I seem to look at on youtube has videos where they are actually PLAYING music.
So I figured I'd come on here, and ask a few questions:
Am I correct in assuming that a college sized apartment would be a good sized room for a single Play:5 (it's a "medium" sized room i guess)?
Most of us listen to various rap artists, but it really varies. I have heard that the bass isnt very good without the Sonos sub, which I dont have the money for. Those of you who have this - is the bass an issue?
Can my 3 other roommates use their own apps and hook their phones up to the Play:5?
Is there ANY way to stream from my macbook pro as well?
The sonos also does airplay streaming now as well, right?
I know it's a lot of questions, so I definitely appreciate any help.
if I have any more questions I'll comment on this post.
Thanks!
