I'm planning a vacation to Vietnam for the next month or so.

Things I enjoy/prioritize whenever I travel include good food, visiting scenic and cultural sites, beaches, and enjoying nightlife.

Here Is what I have for my trip so far:

I will not be visiting Sapa or doing the Ha Giang loop (this time), but definitely in a future trip when I return. I was also interested in Phu Quoc, but also not doing this time.

Some feedback I'm interested in hearing:

1. Does this seem like a reasonable itinerary? Would I feel too rushed?

2. For getting between each of these cities, should I be prioritizing flights or trains?

3. I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of Cat Ba. I'm aware of the Ha Long Bay cruises. I know there's the 3D2N cruise and the 2D1N cruise. Do both of these stop at Cat Ba? My guess is that I'd be sleeping on the cruise ships? When googling around I found that some people say to simply skip these cruises and just go to Cat Ba on my own? What, do I just like get a speedboat or something to get there and then book a hotel on the island? Would a single night there suffice?

4. Any other recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated.
