Hello! Not sure how realistic this is but I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to get around these places by public transportation?

Initially, I had this week trip planned with my bf but now that we broke up, I still want to have a peaceful vacation for myself (much needed) and go on an adventure. I don’t have many friends to just reach out to and ask to travel with me as well (isolated myself long enough in a toxic relationship and lost friends), so solo travel is my only option but I’ve always wanted to do it as well.

My goal is to mainly go hiking and see the views around Banff. I just added Calgary since it was in between Banff and Drumheller, and I’m a huge science/history nerd so I would love to see the Dino fossils on the second half of my trip. Bonus: anywhere that I can set up camp at a dark sky area and see stars/photograph the night sky would be lovely!

I found that there’s a way to get from Banff to Calgary via public transport, but can’t seem to find any solutions to get to Drumheller? I would still love to travel solo (sans car) but just wondering if I’m being unrealistic. If anyone has any advice, please share!
