Hey wise people of Reddit, long story short I need better signal on my headset so i can go further with it. as such i am about to undertake this tutorial https://www.soldierx.com/bbs/201304/Logitech-G930-Wireless-Range-Mod. While it gives pretty good instructions it lacks a bit of explanation. I have all the pieces and am having trouble identifying how to solder on the U.fl socket. my problem is demonstrated well in the link whereby it shows the circular solder points available on the G930 wireless stick however the tutorial given shows completely different connectors and has mounted it to the side. how would you recommend I solder the U.fl to this different socket as I am worried about grounding the signal? Also will the mod work if I do not remove the resistors marked in red? I plan on cutting the entire end of the chip off to remove the trace.
