So trying to decide between hakko fx888d and either the aixun t320/t420 My only concern with the aixun is that it's coming from AliExpress and let's just say that Comms with various sellers are about as clear as mud, which doesn't exactly elicit any faith in their "1 year warranty" should something decide to crap out. I know SDG reckoned that the T420D looked solid due to the toroidal transformer but I'm nowhere near an expert when it comes to diagnosing circuit boards (I know some stuff but I will freely admit to not being anywhere near an expert in these matters) For the price of the hakko from say Amazon directly (as in sold by Amazon not just fulfilled by) I can pick up a T420 (non D) Inc taxes (both come out to around £180) What stands in Amazon's favour is their spot on returns policy, never had any issues with it whatsoever.
