Does anyone else see this as a serious threshold for sustainability and off-the-grid living? There's an uber-luxury travel trailer called Living Vehicle that costs like over 200 grand at this point but they are essentially an airstream style trailer but with incredible amounts of solar power and energy storage. Their current 2021 top tier model has 3080 watts of solar capacity and 43 kWh of energy storage with a 15kWh hybrid inverter. It seems to just be hitting the threshold of running AC 24/7 with perfect conditions. The price is prohibitive, but I do wonder how many more years until this threshold is achievable for tiny homes and travel trailers that are affordable.
But I'm curious what similar 'thresholds' you see that could lead to widespread change in terms of the way people live. Is there a certain solar panel efficiency or price point you think will be a huge tipping point?
