To those who are disappointed they didn’t see it or sad that they did but it’s already over…
Post Body

Don’t forget that the very thing that makes an eclipse so special is the fact that it is such a delicate and short-lived experience, you wouldn’t want it any other way :)

It’s the one thing that is truly perfect exactly as it is, hence why it is so poignant!

It is a cosmic/spiritual reminder that there is fundamentally no such thing as a “mistake”. That’s just a word invented by humans.

At least, that’s what I take from it and why I truly consider eclipses to be legitimately divine.

[Useful edit inspired by a comment below]

“I’m not saying those who didn’t get to see it should feel just as happy and blissful as those who got to see it. That’s stupid.

I’d feel super shit too if it didn’t work out for me.

I guess all I’m saying is that despite the unfortunate circumstances, you’d still want to be able to say “I wouldn’t change a thing about the solar eclipse, including the chaos of getting lucky/unlucky with the weather because THAT is what makes it what it is.

It wasn’t my luck this time but next time it will be! And I’m happy for everyone who got to experience it.

I enjoyed the thrill of the chase and am content that I did my best.”
