I am a software developer that would like to get into the solar industry.
Specifically, I am wondering if there is anyone who:
Looks at data including current energy use/demand/supply at various times of the day in a certain area and uses those to determine where large solar installations might be appropriate. Where residential vs communal vs utility scale solar farms would be most profitable as well as replace the largest about of KWh from the grid itself. Theoretically this person would present findings to the team and from there a certain set of steps would be taken to sell the proposal basically.
I really don't know much about the solar industry but am very interested. I feel that this is the best way for me to contribute - I'm good at working with data and thats what I do in my current job. However I would like to learn more about this aspect of the industry in general.
Is there any "wiki for jobs you can get in the solar industry" ?
