I just got email from SoFi that said they raise the margin rate to 3% on SoFi Invest starting on June 1. Here's the email:

Hi (name),

This message is to inform you of an upcoming change to the SoFi Active Invest margin rate.

Effective Wednesday, June 1: the margin rate will increase from the 2.5% promotional rate to 3%. No action is required at this time.

If you are currently using margin, please be aware that the margin required to keep positions open may increase. To avoid receiving a margin call, we recommend that you monitor your positions carefully and maintain a sufficient level of equity in your account, particularly over weekends and before major company announcements like earnings reports. You can find current margin rates listed on our website at all times.
