Iโm not sure how many of you keep up with News about fintech banks. But currently a Popular online bank Known as Yotta finds itself in a tough situation. The main backbone Synapse which manages the fund for many online banks has frozen all fund affecting hundreds of thousands of users. Most people were using them as their primary bank to store money to pay bills, saving, and vacation/home renovations.
But now that all funds are frozen, many are unable to pay their mortgage or buy food as their credit/debit cards have been rendered useless. So now Iโm wondering what everyone else is doing. Are you all using online banks as your main bank or are you just using it as a backup? Do you fear this may happen with other banks like Sofi as well? It appears the FDIC insurance wonโt take affect for months if not years from the court hearings.
