Post Body

Hey! This might not be a normal post, I am a social work student, but I work fulltime in a Mental Health Office where we see kids with moderate to severe mental health. We have Counselors & Psychiatrists. I do transcribing for the doctors, which some of the stuff I type is so intense. Everyone gets to have supervision except for admin. I do have a supportive boss, but he also prioritizes clinicians meetings over ours. We have had a couple of kids pass away, we had to commit a client yesterday and like I had mentioned before, I type some pretty intense stuff and I am just trying to figure out a way to keep my self safe in the sense of not being overwhelmed. I am also feeling like I am suffering from burn out with no supports. I want to be successful in my social work career, I am a pretty new student, but would love any advice on how to get through the day and leave work at work.
