So. I've been doing child welfare for 5 years now. I'm currently an adoption worker and have been doing it for almost 2 years.
It seems as of late, I have been dealing with just these parents that have some sort of entitlement that they think they can run to whomever and get licensed faster, get their kid adopted faster, get their subsidy faster if they contact higher ups in the state I live in. I currently have a foster parent...that today has called my sup, me, the DHHS worker, a higher up in this state and our program manager because I didn't know if she was licensed yet( she isn't). She also called to complain about the same things she's been complaining about to me, the DHHS worker, the judge and everyone else...because she feels that this child doesn't need a transition plan to move into her house and things are not moving fast enough. We have all told her the same things (due to the child's MANY past failed adoptions and placements and having been in a Residential placement for so long...she has become institutionalized and we need to make sure she is able to make a smooth transition to this home and blah blah blah).
I'm running out of things to say to this parent because now it just seems like she is undermining all of us...and I'm literally repeating the same things over and over again.
