Taking time off after grad school
Post Body

Hello folks. I'm graduating with my MSW in May and I am pretty rapidly approaching burn out. I have done some introspection and I believe that the burnout is due to the 3 hour commute to my internship 3 days a week, an unhealthy work environment, and the fact that I have been in college since 2016 with only 1 semester off (and we also homeschool our children which keeps us pretty busy). But I was thinking of waiting 3-4 months before starting a new position. Anyone else take some time off between graduating and starting a job? I'm thinking maybe take 1 month off and then start applying places? I'm feeling a bit guilty for already having to take a break because of burnout and I haven't even really started. I anticipate having my transcripts and my provisional license sometime in June/July. Also, how are people applying to jobs before graduation 🫠 cause i talked to two hiring managers at the facilities I am interested in working at and they both said that I must have my transcript and provisional license BEFORE I can apply.
