I (23, non-binary) work in HIV Case Management. The agency I work in is geared for LGBTQ individuals.

I work with another case manager, also in my same position. She is, I would guess, in her 50s. I have worked with her for over 1 year and have been using they/them pronouns the entire time I've worked here. However, she keeps using the wrong pronouns for me, despite being corrected several times. I hear it happen at least once a month (our work from home days are opposite, so typically I only see her one day a week).

Yesterday she referred to me as a girl. She absolutely knows I am non-binary but I believe she is not doing enough internal work to be able to see me as anything but a woman. I texted her after work about whether she realized she said that to me, and she said, "No I didn't. Sorry". I personally don't consider her apology adequate.

I would like some advice/perspective on what I can do next. She and I have the same supervisor, and I inform our supervisor of whenever I am misgendered. Our sup. talks to her but clearly it keeps happening over and over again. I have the option of submitting an incident report, but I am hesitant to take it that far.

Edit: Thank you everyone for your advice. I want to address that me texting her has been my only direct "conversation" that I've had with her so far. I believe I may have a conversation with her face to face, but I'm considering what to say. She does not seem to misgender clients, but I don't believe we have any clients enrolled in our office that use they/them pronouns. She's able to use binary trans client's pronouns perfectly fine.
I spoke to my supervisor about the situation, and while my coworker's problem of misgendering me has not yet been resolved, my supervisor says she has noticed my coworker showing improvement. My sup. has noticed one situation (in the past 2 months!) of my coworker noticing herself slip up and correcting herself. This is an improvement, because most times she would not notice herself using the incorrect pronoun. My supervisor and I do not believe she is intentionally misgendering me and has expressed feeling guilty when she gets my pronouns incorrect.

Hopefully the situation continues to improve.
