I'm an 18 year old guy and I obviously don't mean everyone, but quite a few people I come across are just copies of eachother... very bland, their humor is based on their sex appeal etc. It makes everything feel so grey. Even with relationships, "Hey, you're hot..." is one of the the most annoying pick up lines ever, I wanna see who you are, I want to see things you love, things you're passionate about. Im not trying to immediately get busy 5 minutes after meeting you.
I do run into gems of people every once in a while, but I wish it was more common. So much is possible with in people to become their own person. I guess you could blame the internet for a large chunk of it, but it's just a little discouraging is all.
