Backstory: So a few months ago I was working security at my local horse racing track/ stadium, so there was a lot of alcohol and intoxicated people around.

EP1: Male EP2: Female M: Me Co1: Colleague 1 Co2: Colleague 2 Co3: Colleague 3

Around halfway into my shift, to people, who would become EP 1 & 2, walked up to my pedestal flashing their gold ribbons in my face. (At this point the horses were in the birdcage walking around after the race and the area I was in was right on the other side of the fence)

EP1: I’m going to see my horse, he just won!

M: Congratulations sir, points to clearly displayed sign showing proper accreditation to the area, do you have this accreditation on you?

EP1: No, but I want to go see MY horse that just came first, I’ll be in and out

At this point Co1 notices the commotion

M: I’m sorry sir, but I’m going to have to deny you entry as you do not have the proper accreditation to enter

Co1: What seems to be the problem here?

M: Well these people are...

EP2: cuts me off mid sentence This imbecile won’t let us through to see our horse that won the last race!

Co1: I’m sorry ma’am, but we can’t let you guys in here as you don’t have this point to proper accreditation

EP1: This is utter BS, why do I have to pay (x) amount of money for MY horse when I can’t get into areas I WANT to be in!!

M: Sir, horse owners have their own areas where they can view the birdcage, it’s actually a really nice...

EP1 I get cut off again: But I want to see it from here!!

At this point Co2 walks from the back are up to us, and stands by providing backup.

Co1: Sir, as myself and my partner have explained and showed you multiple times, you aren’t allowed to be in this area

EP2: Why should WE have to pay EXTRA for front row seating while THESE people gestures to patrons at the fence probably don’t even own a horse!!

EP1: I agree love, this is completely outrageous! What are your names and badge numbers? I’m going to report you!

M: sir we arnt going to give you our names and we don’t have badge numbers. If you REALLY want to get in here to see your horse, the you can head over to the race day office and speak with name, or simply spend another $35 for a ticket.

Co1: If you guys are just going g to stand here and keep arguing with us, then we will have no choice but to call in for the rapid team to escort you away

EP1: Fine! We’re going. But we’re going to report you! Hope your happy with you shitty as job!

And then they walk off never to be seen again. Why do people think that just because they own a horse, they get special privileges to go anywhere they want because “I own a horse that won!” Effing ridiculous.
