I can't bring myself to speak and I really need to make a friend or two to make it easier to be around the place. I don't know what to say and when to say it. I don't try speaking to someone because I don't think I'll know how to follow-up or extend beyond "hi, what's your major" and it'll be awkward (it often has been in the past).
In classes, everyone is usually quiet. After classes, everyone just disperses. Where to, I don't know (it's a very big uni). I'm assuming many just go back home.
There will be uni kids walking around the place, but they're not my batch, so it seems awkward and random to try talking to them (how do I even go about doing that?).
I've never socialized outside of a structured environment (except with people I'm already friends with). I can't go up to random people who are standing around, I need them to be in some sort of familiar structured environment, like in class or at a table at lunchbreak or in the common room or something like that.
I don't think I have anything interesting to say or add, and there isn't much positive activity in my life to share about either. I'm utterly lost and panicking...
I need help. We're expected to manage on our own since we're "adults" now, but I still need that kind of childish environment that school had...
