Maybe there’s something wrong with me and this is okay but I genuinely don’t understand why someone would say something like that. Regardless of the situation if you were going to speak up about it then do it. maybe i just want someone to stick up for me bc i’ve never had that and get frustrated when people say this bc i know they’ll never act on it.

most basic of examples: someone belittles you and you stand your ground but it continues to happen. Your friend sees this and ask you if they should say something to them.

but maybe I am also the bad guy because I get frustrated when people say stuff like this and just say that I’m fine and I can handle my own business because in my head clearly you probably didn’t want to do anything about it in the first place.
