Girl suddenly offered help at gym then approached me for help
M22 here, so ive been to the gym for around 3 months, as ive finished my squats, i head over to the empty deadlift platform next to her, this young lady (22 to 25 i guess, 1.68m, 55kg) in fit gym attire doing her deadlifts.
Im a rather small scrawny guy, 1.6metres 47kg or 5'3ft 103lbs, but i usually have no problem putting 20kg/15kg plates on both ends of bar.
I placed 15 on 1 side, then was placing 15 on the other side, when she suddenly lifted my bar without asking whether i needed help.
Thats when i responded - its okay, i got this (i did not need her help because i could do it just fine, and this was the first time someone ever helped me at the gym), since she continued lifting the bar, i accepted her help and thanked her.
I finished my few sets and saw that she was done and removing her plates, picked my bottle to refil and while walking past her, she asked if i could help her lift the bar so she could remove the 20kg plate on both ends.
Initially when i saw her removing her plates, i did not offer help because i expected her to be able to do it by herself.
Since she asked, i agreed to help and she thanked me.
Iโm still overthinking about this and i just want to know if she was really in need of help or wanted me to talk to her. There were other guys in the gym who were near her and she could have approached them, why she would she approach me instead?
I know you guys canโt read minds but I need to know based off the details I have given, I need a peace of mind. Thanks!!
