I suppose anti-SOCJUS isn't exactly correct, a lot of the responses seem to show that SOCJUS is an empathetic (sp?), and a movement based out of altruism. I disagree with your ideas/methods, but after reading all of the replies, I'd like to show what folks on my side of the SOCJUS/anti-SOCJUS line are about.
- Equality of opportunity is better than equality of outcome
- Individualism vs Collectivism
Also, the idea of (and it's kind of strange to put in a bullet point) the idea that race relation problems will naturally dissolve as everyone (insert country here) accepts their country's identity.
The idea being that civic nationalism (though it is a sub-group of nationalism, patriotism that got trump elected), where the identity of "Insert country here" will not only replace, but supersede racial identity.
That said, I'd like to know this community's ideas on it, and also the idea of a national identity vs a racial one, and what this community's idea of how that either can be a beneficial or detrimental thing.
Edit: I'd also like do know what you guys think of a system where you opt-out of being on the organ donors list, as opposed to opt in. (As in, you have to opt-out, rather than opt-in) I like the idea, though as far as I know that's not a SOCJUS issue.
