We've created a small, Minecraft server in which we have invited players to make their own cities, nations, and experiences. It is a total sandbox experience with admins intervening only if players cheat or hack. This is due to a unique plugin set that allows players to moderate the community by working together. So far a couple nations have sprung up:

New Aeon: A fortress city, all of New Aeon lives cooperatively inside a giant stone fortress surrounded by some of the largest farms on the server. Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/eNbbq

Cloud City: A city located in the sky, they focus mainly on providing weapons and armor to the world below. Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/6QEYM

Mersin: A military nation that has created a massive town peppered with bunkers and defensive structures.

Tyrus Shore: A seaside town that is built mainly for aesthetics. Pictures: https://i.imgur.com/4Bv6kHL.png

Vix: A town built on the worldborder surrounded by a massive moat and built and defended by obsidian walls.

Most of the towns and nations have been built on the first island, there is still plenty of land left to claim for new nations to start up on the three other islands on the server.

Our plugins, Citadel, PrisonPearl, JukeAlert all allow the players to apply justice and law themselves. This creates judicial systems and a sense of order. Admins do not intervene.
