So for a while I was interested in the idea of when you follow thinkers and activists that have great ideas, but then you find out they weren't perfect or even fully honest. And I was wondering how do you cope with people who you agree totally but find out their personal life isnt good
Like recently, even though she isnt a socialist i was inspired by a Native american singer and activist for her art, decolonising and seeing problems of Capitalism. And I just found out she isnt actually native american, and it feels like all her work and activism just feel hollow. So how do I still cope with the "death if the authir" style over activists who said great things but weren't great people ?
