This may be more of an autistic thing but how do y'all feel about long goodbyes (5+ minutes)?

Post Body

My in-laws, bless their hearts, do not say "goodbye" and leave. It can be anywhere around (I PROMISE I am not exaggerating here) 15-30 minutes.

"Gotta get going, bye", hugs & kisses, then... more... socializing.

Goodbyes the kitchen... slowly to the livingroom... another "bye! Oh wait!"meaning a whole new conversation... to the front door... "let me walk you out!"... and another conversation at the car door or sometimes even when I am reversing and I have to stop and put it in park because I don't want to be rude.

To say it gives me anxiety is a massive understatement. I didn't even know long goodbyes effected me so deeply until I got married.

I want to reiterate that I am sincerely very fond of my in-laws. This will be something I just have to work at getting used to, I guess.
