I hate to say it but exposure really does make the anxiety much more manageable
Post Body

So, I started a job a few days ago, and these first three days have been absolutely brutal. BUT, because of the exposure I've had it feels much easier to go to work (I'm not as anxious as I normally would be the day before work). I have suffered for most of my life with social anxiety, and this is my first job in six years. I do have to be on medication to make it more manageable, but I am making a lot of progress that I never thought I would on my anxiety.

Another disclaimer, this job is a well fitted role for me in the sense that it is just stocking and whatnot, but it's a big step in social exposure.
