Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my experience and tips so far in flipping cards. I hope all of you can chime in with your experience and tips that work for you. Of course there are cards I am holding for the long run but with the cards I want to get rid of, here is what I have realized: Soccer fans love their teams and especially all of the players regardless of position. I have never seen this devotion to a team when trying to sell a lineman’s football card lol. With that said, here are some tips:
TIP 1: Sell Team Lots
I ran three BIN tests; they are in order of the highest results in sales. I also realized I can sell each card for more when offering lots.
- Team lots.
- Mixed team lots.
- Individual card sales
TIP 2: Include Their Team
Not much else to say lol. I definitely found an increase in views and sales when I included each player’s team when adding info.
TIP 3: Native Spelling
I can’t confirm this since since I haven’t experimented much but I noticed an increase of views when spelling a player’s names accurately:
Instead of Juan Sebastian Veron, try Juan Sebastián Verón.
TIP 4: Grade & Ship Internationally
Of course it’s a pain to ship international but no sport is bigger than soccer in Europe and there is a demand for these cards when boxes/packs are too expensive. Plus, there are no PSA offices in Europe that I am aware of and buyers want their favorite cards slabbed. I found it lucrative to grade cards I normally wouldn’t just because of the bigger market overseas where the probability of a buyer is higher.
Although there is always risk, the chance of a lost package is higher if someone in Europe wants a card slabbed that has to endure customs twice in addition to proxy shipping.
Hope this helps and I look forward to hearing everyone’s input and tips.
