Why do football associations treat referees as infallible beings incapable of making mistakes? Setting aside goal-line technology and video replays for a second, things would be much better if managers can actually criticize decisions that a referee makes, and referees/football associations acknowledge bad decisions. We know refs are human. They make mistakes. There's hundreds of factors that can contribute to errors in refereering. There's no sense hiding and pretending the error didn't happen.
