Hiya. I sporadically write these long interviews with niche football coaches and put them on my website. I then cheekily plug them here because in the past people have read and enjoyed them. I recently spoke with Jarmo Matikainen, who is the current head coach of the Estonian women's national football team. He previously coached the Wales women's team, and has extensive experience in his native Finland as well. We spoke about Finnish football in the 1970s, the realities of managing Estonia, and the possibility of using the music of Neil Young as a motivational technique.
