0' - The teams are out, and we're underway in a very wet Manchester.

5' - First half chance of the game, falls to Liverpool. Sturridge takes on Kompany and Demichelis, but his pass for Sterling is too long.

8' - Dzeko gets the ball on the edge of the Liverpool box after Jovetic dummies it, but his shot is wide of the mark.

9' - Sterling brings down a perfect ball from Gerrard but with his back to goal, it is too difficult for him to get a clean shot away.

13' - City break on a counter-attack and Clichy crosses for Zabaleta at the back post, however his volley is over the bar.

15' - Toure shoots from range with a curling effort, but the shot is saved comfortably by Mignolet.

16' - Hart has to claw away a corner kick.

17' - Allen fires a volley at goal, which strikes Kompany's arm but the big Belgian was practically on top of the not to big Welshman.

21' - Moreno wins a free kick on the left for Liverpool. Zabaleta brought him down.

25' - Demichelis slices a clearance behind for a Liverpool corner.

29' - Yaya Toure

32' - Sturridge beats Kompany with a step over and then shoots from a tight angle, but Hart beats it away.

40' - City hold onto the ball for about 2 minutes before giving the ball to Zabaleta who wins a corner.

41' - GOAAAAAL CITY! Moreno is at fault for it as he fails to clear the ball away properly and Jovetic comes in and steals the ball away before thumping the ball under Mignolet. 1-0 City.

45' - 1 minute added on

Johnson annoys the life out of me, I wish he would just cross the fucking ball. All in all though I'm feeling optimistic after that first half, we were unlucky with the goal but we've played well.

Second Half Updates

45' - We're off again for the second half.

49' - Liverpool have the ball in the net, but Sturridge is offside.

49' - Dzeko is on goal from the left, but his touch is heavy and it gives time for Moreno to come across and put it out of play.

50' - Jovetic heads towards goal from a corner, but it is over the bar.

52' - Fernando brings down Sterling in an inviting position for Liverpool to shoot.

53' - And from the free kick its well played. Gerrard chips the ball into Henderson whose shot is blocked by Zabaleta.

55' - GOAAAAAL CITY! Brilliant goal from City. After holding the ball for a while, City spring into action and the ball is crossed into the box from the right and Jovetic fires home for his second of the night.

57' - City break into the box again and Jovetic has a chance to shoot, but Dzeko brings down Skrtel in the build-up.

60' - Markovic Coutinho

61' - Moreno runs down the left and tries to play it into Henderson, but the ball pings around a bit before Kompany has to clear the ball behind.

62' - Kompany comes to the rescue again, as Sturridge breaks into the box, and the City captain takes the ball off of Sturridge.

65' - Sterling sets through Sturridge but he is at a tight angle but he forces Hart to palm the ball away from goal.

65' - Jesus Navas Silva

66' - Kompany misjudges a header and it leaves Sturridge the chance to head at goal, but he is unable to direct it onto goal.

67' - Edin Dzeko goes down with a large gash on his leg after colliding with Skrtel.

69' - Aguero Dzeko

69' - GOAAAAAL CITY! What a dream start. He spent 23 seconds on the pitch, and Aguero puts City 3-0 up with a clinical finish at Mignolet's near post after Navas put the Argentine in.

83' - GOAAAAAL LIVERPOOL! And it is with a use of goal line technology. Sturridge nudges Demichelis off the ball, and swings the ball in for Lambert who gets a head to it Hart saves and then it comes back off of Zabaleta to go in. Hart isn't quite able to keep out.

86' - Johnson has to go off injured, and Liverpool have no more substitutes.

88' - Skrtel is now down injured holding his left knee.

89' - Jovetic is given MOTM.

90' - Moreno is the next one down for Liverpool. Not a good end to the game for them.

90' - 5 minutes added on.

90 2' - Skrtel and Moreno are now walking wounded for Liverpool.

90 2' - Can is lucky not to get a second yellow as he went down under minimal contact from Zabaleta.

90 4' - Aguero lashes a shot into the side netting after Yaya Toure skipped through the Liverpool defence.
