Is My Laguna good for a day hike right now?

Hey all,
A friend and I are considering a day trip to Mount Laguna tomorrow... Does anyone know the condition of the trails as far as snow and mud? We want to avoid conditions that necessitate anything other than regular hiking boots. I'm hoping the trails are mostly dry with occasional snow patches.
We were considering sunset trail, but would welcome any suggestions for less travelled or more challenging hikes.
