Does AA actually do the "hi I'm ____ I'm an alcoholic"
Post Body

I've considered going to an AA meeting to meet people who relate to my issue and will encourage me not to drink. That said, I have a lot of social anxiety... If I went to a few meetings, could I sit in quietly to feel it out without introducing myself until I meet some people I trust? Typing this out I see it's counterintuitive to look for a social group if I'm scared to introduce myself. I just get scared in social situations, especially when I'm sober

Comments
