Just wanted to start if by saying thank you to this sub! Some of the advice I had on my previous post was great and just hearing others opinions and briefly what they had gone through gave me some hope! Long story short! My girlfriend who is an addict (F19) finally went to rehab!!! She went about 6 hours ago! And will be there for 3-5 days (although I hope 5).
I would love some advice on how to support her and if anyone can think of things that will help her with the recovery? Maybe she needs sleep meds? Maybe some short of foods that help with the cravings? Or activities?.... at first she started as an alcoholic (we partied a bit also so things like coke, ketamine, Molly, acid.... here and there) but once it became apparent she had a serious substance abuse problem, we began trying to get her sober. After months of trying and a few failed rehab attempts she ended up going offffff the rails! I had to leave overseas for family matters for 3 months and sadly this killed her :( i partially blame myself for her downfall :( but ya I am back in just about 3 weeks!!!
She has been on a heavyyyy! 2 week bender of crack now :/ with talks of other stuff too like meth, heroin and even fentynal, and there's always been alcohol still involved, lorazepam, coke, speed, (not even sure what else) ... she is just constantly chasing a high/escape :( i love her soooo dearly and it's been killing me to see her in this state :(
Please if someone can give some advice on how I can help her with her recovery or simply how she can help herself?
... also it's sad to say but it's hard to think of her as that sweet girl I fell in love with since she picked up the pipe and practically became a full blown addict/crack head :(
