Deer tallow soap is crumbly
Post Body
Yesterday I made soap with this recipe
The recipe: Deer Tallow Soap
Deer tallow – 13 oz Olive oil – 19.5 Coconut oil – 13 oz Water – 8.5 oz Lye – 6.45
I melted all the fats, combined oil, added water lye solution and mixed with stick blender. Was pretty thick when I poured into mold. It got very hot in mold and steam blew out of little holes that opened up. Today when I tried to cut into bars it is very hard and crumbles.
Can I fix by rebatching?
