A Question on Purchaing a Condo

I have been looking around at buying a condo at a resort not far from D.C. and Snowshoe really caught my eye. On looking at First Tracts real estate website I noticed some condos were sold and then a couple of months later is back on the market. This has me a little worried and wanted to know what is going on. Was the condo not in good shape, owners couldn't afford the payments, bad HOA, etc. Would like any info or advice you have.
