it is interesting. the commentary that in desperate times people would support a feudal lord over democracy or representative government. the train is small enough and a authoritarian government can keep the peace. there is no room to address everyones caste system woes.

now how will wilford use the cultural and class tensions between the taillies and 3rd class. if the taillies still live between big alice border. and alex looks like she will defect for melonie

That was something layton wanted to propogandize a bit. and big alice crew has the trade relationship with the tailies... they only have wilford propoganda. not first class prejudice

i can see that wilford looses control of big alice now that he has SP. cant hold onto both territories. with layton on big alice, alex looks to defect for melonie. i can totally see the taillies running big alice and blocking wilford from control
