The 128 rule

Is it just me that's fed up of the 128 rule. I used to love it when the top 16 meant something. Everyone would fight to get into it but now everyone qualifies for each tournament bar a couple it just seems pointless. I feel sorry for the younger guys on the tour who are thrown straight into playing the likes of ronnie or judd in the first match and receiving barely any ranking points it just makes no sense whatsoever.
