SNES issue with picture

I am an amature at retro repair. I purchased 2 snes from ebay to repair. 1 of them worked fine just needed a new shell the other has screen issues. After a few seconds up to a minute or two the screen freezes but you can still hear the music playing. I took it apart cleaned it up changed the pin connector(plug in play easy) and it still freezes. Is this a chip issue and what chip might be the culprit?
