Hognose snake questions
Post Body

I've done my best to keep informed but, like a new mom of a human child, I worry about EVERYTHING.

Background: I got Taro on 3/31 this year and was told he was around a year and 4 months. The lady I purchased him from was feeding him one pinky twice a week. We've since started feeding him two every 6-7 days and he is a very eager eater. He shed a week ago, all in one piece minus the tip of his tail which has a minor deformity. Bit of a drama queen (hissy) when getting picked up but does seem to enjoy being held and exploring. Spends a lot of time burrowed- I didn't even see him once yesterday.

He was fed today. But I haven't seen any droppings from his last feeding. He had ingested some Aspen accidentally when he fed as well. It may be hidden, but of course new mom brain has me freaking out.

Here are my silly questions:

When is a male considered "adult"? How much should he weigh/how long should he be? Should his feeding schedule and food type be changed? Should I worry if I see no droppings after a certain amount of time?

He also weighs 45g- I just weighed him before eating.

Thank you in advance, for anyone who answers anything. I feel annoying!
