Hello fellow snail parents!

Much to my surprise I was given a pregnant Japanese Trapdoor snail. It had 2 babies already. My crayfish ate them and I am so heartbroken that we didn't save them in time. This has been very unexpected and I feel awful. We ordered some safety separation nets for the new babies, but idk when they're coming and I am nervous.

I want to keep these next babies. They're so lovely. How can I do this? Should I get a separate tank? How do you pick them put? Does the momma snail need to take care of them?

Thank you!!!!
