Really specific question, but I'm curious because of my snails' behavior recently. I noticed over the past couple of months that my snails began pooping in their water dish. At first, they would still poop in other places, but eventually all of their pooping is now down either in the water dish or on the tank wall right next to the water dish.
The only thing I can think of to explain this behavior is low humidity in the tank causing them to be attracted to the water dish. However, I know this is not a problem because I have a humidity gauge and the humidity is kept around 70%. Anyways, it's just a question for curiosity's sake. Yes, I am very annoyed at all of them for pooping in it and causing a stink, but alas I cannot change a snail's mind
