We've been running through smoking fetish sites, online groups, and subreddits at a pretty strong pace lately and have noticed a trend that is fairly interesting.

There SEEMS to be a large percentage of people that are MORE driven by the FANTASY of the kink than there are those who want Real Life experiences.

So here is the question for the masses:

If given the chance to FUCK a Smoking Fetish Enthusiast (with all of the sidebars it entails), would you actually do it, or are you more satisfied(?) just thinking that it could happen and fantasizing?

Is it actually worth it (to you) to make your clothes and hair smell like smoke, and to potentially put a burn mark on your sheets, and to have to deal with having lighters and smokes at the ready, and to have to deal with dumping ashtrays, and to deal with the social stigma that is associated with smokers?

Do you ACTUALLY want a lover (or more specifically your spouse) to smoke on the bed you sleep on ... or is it better to just stay in your mind?

Here's the inspiration for our question:

Granted, people are always in control of their consent and we don't want to inhibit that, but we've had 3(?) recent situations that went south just at the time we thought we were all on the same page.

In each of these scenarios, the people we were flirting and planning with got cold feet when it became undeniable that we were serious, real, and the level of kinky that we had stated we were ... especially with the Smoking Fetish aspects.

Because of this, we've started (or added to) a few dating / classified / personals areas (specifically for Smoking Fetish People) in a number of places on the net and they all have the common thread of 100's (in most cases) of people joining them ... but only 3, 10, or 20(?) posts being made by people seeking to ACTUALLY connect with people in Real Life.

In fact, one of the places we started a group for person to person interaction actually had the comment: "This is going to fail, because no one really wants to meet."

Sooooo ... we're wondering if this is more of a "fantasy oriented" kink, or if it is something that people actually want to experience in real life?
