I smoked cigars when I was 16 with some friends, but never inhaled. I actually waited until I was 18 to smoke my first cigarette, because at the time I thought they were dangerous and addictive, and I had less chance of becoming addicted if I was older.
However, I remember when I first inhaled that cigarette, and I got those jelly legs, I just sat there amazed and a little upset. After all, all you hear about cigarettes is that they're dangerous and addictive. No one acknowledges the fact that cigarettes make you feel good, and nicotine releases dopamine in your brain which gives you a certain euphoria. I was very pissed when I came to the realization that essentially the whole world had been lying to me.
Anyone else have a similar experience?
