So, I was reading a post about how SSB4 Might not feature new characters, when I got an idea.

As stated in the link posted there, Sakurai doesn't want to have many more characters in SSB4, due to balancing issues. So I came up with an idea, and I think you guys will agree.

I'm hoping that some of the current clones get merged, and have the alternate be used as a costume, like Wario's original outfit, but show the new character's name too. So you can still have Ness vs Lucas, for example, but with only one character slot taken up.

You could also include loads of new characters that way too. Tons of clones that don't take up spots. And they wouldn't need to be balanced either, because their parent character, so to speak, is already balanced.

This way, you could have all the Star Fox characters be under Fox and Falco for example. And put Mewtwo, Lucario, and Zoroark into one character as well. Helps the fans' character wants while making there still be balance.

So, following in this format, which new characters would you like to see merged with existing ones?
