How to fix the fast dimming when closing apps?

I noticed recently that the screen dims for a second when I close any app or minimize it I go back to the home screen. As the app closing animation, it ends with a quick dimming before going back to normal, like a dark flash.
It feels like a stutter almost and it's rather annoying. Is there any way to fix this?
I should mention I'm on OnePlus 7 Pro, in case that matters...
