I have some festoon lights for my outdoor area, which support dimming, but aren't "smart" in any way, nor have a dimming switch/dial.
The product description states the following:
- Dimmable, clear light bulbs (dimmer switch not included)
- To dim the lights, install suitable dimmer switch at your local retail store
I thought maybe a smart plug would work, but none support dimming it seems (for electrical safety reasons, I assume).
I'm thinking maybe hook up a Shelly dimmer to the outlet the lights plug in to...
Thoughts or suggestions?
Edit: I should have mentioned I'm in Australia. Searching for outdoor plugs such as the Kasa, turn up no results for AU plug types, unfortunately.
