So, nearly a month ago I posted how J and J were basically keeping me alive due to some intense personal issues, and the outpouring of support from all of you who took the time to respond was amazing.
Sadly it wasn't quite enough and a few days later I attempted to take my own life. It wasn't planned, and I have no recollection of doing it. The first thing I remember is the police hammering on my door during a safety check. I spent a few days in hospital detoxing the pills I'd taken and I'm now back home.
I'm still here. Doctors aren't sure how. I'm not sure how. There doesn't appear to be any permanent damage (as yet), so I keep going. Fortunately, I'm now in the hands of a mental health team who will attempt to get me the help I clearly and desperately need, and have been crying out to on deaf ears for years.
If you have a concern, if you feel down, if you feel like you can't go on, speak to someone. You don't need to go down the road I did, whether you can control it or not, but you can at least speak to someone.
