Help with my riding lawn mower?
Post Body

Hey guys so my riding lawn mower has had issues on and off. At first we thought it was the carberator, then the battery, then the spark plug. After changing all of these the lawn mower still will not start. The wheel is spinning when Iโ€™m turning the key but nothing is firing to start it. Someone mentioned it could be the starter. I brought the old plug to autozone and the guy said it looked like there was burnt oil on the spark plug itself. Just a small amount. I would drive it around to cut the grass and the engine would sometimes randomly shut off after using it for a while and I would have to push it back into the garage. The only way I could get it to start before was with starting fluid but now thatโ€™s not even working. Also I did all of my repairs after the engine shut off for the last time. The engine is a Kohler 20 I believe.

Check your spark with a spark checker and clean rust off flywheel and re gap with magneto. You can get a bussiness card and put in-between flywheel and mag and tighten down that would be about right gap.
